It is my understanding that Kershaw is a fine knife maker and the leek with the black oxide coating looks pretty cool for . It’s the newer model with 14CKT steel so I know its a good deal but does anyone else have a good idea for a "pocket knife". I’d prefer something with decent steel, assisted opening, and built to last.
lol okay nice joke but seriously I gave him a gun for christmas so this is nothing.

There is a superstition about giving knives as gifts. Cutting the relationship
Without hesitation I can recommend Spyderco’s Tenacious series of knives if you want a folder. Most of these can be found in the $30-$40 range, if you can’t find one locally try Amazon.
It is a Chinese made knife. But the quality control Spyderco is able to maintain is incredible.
If you are looking for an excellent value in a hunting sheath knife, look no further than the Cold Steel Pendleton Lite Hunter series. Well under $20 and an absolute fantastic blade.
Dude honestly Im going to say Swiss army. I know it sounds stupid and stuff but theyre awesome. They cut like a razor and keep that way for along time before you even need to sharpen it. Its pretty cheap money wise like 20 bucks or less but its worth way more. I use it when im hunting. It works great from squirrel to deer. I have one with scissors and they cut through the bone. But with deer it is somewhat hard. But its amazing. Best pocket knife ive ever had
Smith and Wesson Military and police knife’s are nice. Here is the name of the one I have SWMP4LS just look that up.It’s fast opening but it isn’t a switch blade.
I agree with the person that recommends the Swiss Army knives. They can do everything and are very affordable.
