Best Pocket Knife for collection?

Posted: February 16th, 2011 | Author: admin | Filed under: Questions | Tags: , , | 4 Comments »

I’m looking in to getting my boyfriend a knife for his collection as a birthday present.. the only problem is, I don’t know anything about knives.. I would also like to get his initials engraved somewhere on the knife. does anyone know what kind of knife would be a good one (price not being an issue) and also where I might be able to get his initials engraved in to it? I would really appreciate the help!
if the engraving decreases it’s value, then I wont get it done.. I just thought it would be nice :) thank you!

Case knives are very nice, very well made.If he is a knife guy then he will appreciate a Case.A trophy shop usually does engraving but I don’t know if I would ruin a nice knife with an engraving.Just get him a quality knife and leave it at that, sometimes engraving decreases its value.

i like BUCK knifes to be really nice. they fold, they are quick to open and sharp. :)

Case is a classic and popular brand for collecting. Also Benchmade and Emerson but they are a bit more $$

If it’d be something for day to day and he would use I’d go with Spyderco or CRKT
