Real or fake Swiss Army knife?
Posted: October 5th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: Questions | Tags: authenticity, blade, ebay, engravings, officier, suisse, swiss army knife, umbrella | 4 Comments »I recently bought a used Victorinox Climber Swiss Army Knife on ebay. I want to know if it is real or fake. It may also be a older model. It has all the same functions as the real one, but the engravings on the blade make me question its authenticity. On the main blade, it is stamped "VICTORINOX; SWISS MADE; STAINLESS" and on the other side "OFFICIER; SUISSE". However, it does NOT have engraved the sign with the cross under the umbrella. It is real or fake? Please give as much information that you can provide. Thank you.

it’s genuine, most of them either have Victorinox or the cross, not both, "OFFICIER; SUISSE" is also a great indicator.
sounds genuine one of mine has just a cross the others have a cross in a shield
You got the military version instead of the
buffoonery intended for civilians. Give SUISSE
to somebody who could appreciate it and go
find a little cross under an umbrella version.
Its bonafide …."Victorinox" is the one professionals swear by and I have owned like 6….I keep loosing them and they cost like $ 35.00 every time!
