What are all the tools used for on a standard Swiss Army Knife?
The "standard" Swiss Army knife would probably be the old Soldier model (the one issued to the Swiss army), or its civilian version, the Pioneer model (same tool-set, different logo and other minor things).
It includes a main knife blade, used for cutting things. A bottle opener which can be used for opening bottles, driving 6mm flat head screws, stripping wire, as a spanner/wrench (I forget what size nuts it fits) and as a light duty prybar. A can opener which can be used to open cans and driving 3mm flathead, or some larger phillips head screws. And a punch/awl/reamer for making holes in or scoring tough material (like leather or wood).
The "standard" model could also considered to be the new Soldier model (although most people won’t be aware of this model yet). This adds a dedicated phillips screwdriver and a wood saw to the above tool-set. The civilian version, the One Hand Trekker model also includes a toothpick and some tweezers in the handle scales.
It should be noted that neither of these "standard" models feature the "standard" Swiss Army knife red plastic handle scales, so whether they’re the "standard" models is up to you! I class them as the "standard" models because they’re the ones issued to the Swiss army.
knife, can opener, screwdriver, file, toothpick, scissors, … all i can remember
