Mine was a Hen & Rooster "Little Cuttin’ Horse" with stag handle but I lost it.

I have no idea how I lose knives. I have been meaning to get another one.

It is not a "tactical" knife just a really, really good traditional folding pocket knife.

I had a tried and true buck knife. Now I have a cold steel voyager. 4" Half serrated. I use it for everything from cutting boxes and opening cans to making sandwiches and sharpening pencils.

I like Old Timer knives, but I used to have a really old(+30yrs) CaseXX that was the best single pocket knife in the world.

My best pocket knife is a Queen stockman with D2 steel for the blades. It really holds an edge well.

I’ve had every thing from Victorianox/swiss army to a danged ol’ Barlow knife, and my personal choice is a french old style knife that is still used by the SAS and its made by a company called "Openell". Very basic in design and simple, but you can’t beat carbon steel!

Spyder Co dragonfly I really like Spyder Co knives I had mine for 10 years and I use it at work a lot and it still has a sharp edge on it.All together I have 4differentt Spyder Co knives and I never had any problems with them.I bought the CPM S30V Military folding knife when I was on active duty in the ARMY and I really abused this knife and it still works good after all it has been through,I would use it as my every day carry knife but it is too big for that.

As an older guy,I would like to tell you that it would be some knifes from my Fathers generation. The wonderful collectible Cases, Kissing cranes, Eyeball brand, Hare and Hound.Queen, Boker. Any number of the U.S. and Great German made quality pocket knifes that make collectors drool.Even though I have many of these classics, I do not carry one.
Sadly,it is not one of those. I carry a Spiderco everyday. It is the best knife I have ever carried. Light and fast.

i know a load of people that swear by Openell knives but i dont like them, thier super sharp and hold an edge very well but if you forget lock them off you going to seriousy injure yourself, its happend to me so many times lol

I love my Kershaw 1660. It keeps an edge beautifully, slim design and the mechanical assist opening is perfectly balanced. For the price, it is the best pocket/field knife I have ever owned.

Some great answers here so far…

I never liked the Swiss Army knives, as I thought they were for yuppies and folks that were merely light backpackers. That was, until I actually put one to use and made a personal shelter from sapplings using the saw blade and also pulled thorns out of my skin with the tweezers. Swiss Army knives are great.

On the other hand, I agree with the man that likes the Case bone handled trapper style knives. I have one that belonged to my father and it’s still going strong. He probably bought the thing in the early 1960s.

Carbon steel blades are the best.
