what is the reamer with the sewing eye in the swiss army knife for?

i am a security guard and my dad gave me a swiss army knife and he told me that it can be in handy but when i was going through it, i noticed that they have a reamer with a sewing eye and i dont know what it is for…does anybody know what it’s for?
