An overview of the Victorinox Swiss Army Trekker. At first glance I wrote this knife off & wasn’t interested, but was swayed by RBcarnuts’ comments on it. This knife packs alot of great features in a single handed opener from Victorinox, yes that’s right they’ve come out with a single handed opener. It opens easily, but if you’re a righty you’ll need both hands to close it. The Trekker cover alot of utility & I’m a fan.
Size comparison of three Victorinox Swiss Army knife sizes. One-Hand Trekker, Hiker, and Classic. I whittled the rooster with the Hiker. The small blade is perfect for carving and detail tasks. I learned how to make this with the book Whittling Twigs & Branches by Chris Lubkemann amzn.to Buy these knives on Amazon: Trekker with Free Classic: amzn.to Hiker: amzn.to Classic: amzn.to Recorded with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3. amzn.to If you can buy these from a locally owned retailer, please do.
