In this review, I examine and compare the Victorinox Fireman and Hiker Swiss Army knives, also called SAKs. They are similar in tools but not in size and both are great for their intended purposes.

Mine sat in my collection for 15 years or so, unused, until I discovered the belt cutter blade was a better version of the Hunter’s gutting blade. I didn’t get a chance to use it but plan to use it for opening deer in the future. I don’t care for folders for gutting deer, due to cleaning difficulty, but that one blade will be great if you hunt! You’ll like the locking main blade and its size too. If you wear glasses, buy the eyeglass screwdriver to add to the corkscrew.
